The Fruit for Day 18 is the magical, magnificent Mango! -Mangoes have been in the human diet for over 6000 years, and were first cultivated in Asia. -Mangoes are actually in the sumac family–other members of this family are pistachios, cashews, poison oak and poison ivy. -For a bit of folklore–it’s said the Buddha was given a whole grove of mango trees for resting in whenever he needed.
