#9 I review Philp McCluskey’s “Raw Food Fast Food” recipe book – PeterDouglasRAW
I recently bought Raw Food Fast Food and have read through all 51 raw food recipes and personally made 11 of them during my recent visit to my parents house for the holidays. Raw Food Fast Food is Philip McCluskeys collection of raw food recipes, in ebook format, that are relatively quick to prepare. In this video, I give you my personal review. For a detailed typed review, please see my blog entry at peterdouglasraw.com

yay! hehe! well, I actually have some pictures of me at 1 months raw 2 months raw etc! I was trying to do monthly pictures but I lost my camera and missed a few months! by the time I found it i had decided I wanted to make a vlog, but I waited a little more time to muster up the courage to do so! and here I am now! =^-^=
this reminds me, I should link to my first months raw picture on my youtube profile! I’ll do that now! =^-^=
@Necrowitch, I just checked out some of your videos, great to follow another raw foodie along! Making the videos is great because you get to see the changes as time goes on – more than just in still pictures. I’ll try to get my February update vid up soon. Have a rawsome day!
hehe, well, I’m doing my own vlog! yuppers! just click on my name and you can follow my progress.. though my vids are more about what raw things I’m thinking about then myself.. but there is definitely a lot about me and my progress in there. I am looking forward to your next vid! I won’t miss it. Daily I watch everything my 174ish youtube subions put out. I think 150 of my subs are on raw foods and your one of them! ;D crazy huh?
@Necrowitch, Cool, I love hearing stories like this! I’m going to make a February update soon, so stay tuned! And keep me posted on your progress – way to go!
I just finished watching your last 9 vids. I too have to give thanks to philip for being the person who got me researching raw food as my way to eat the healthiest possible way so I could stop my onward tend of just getting sicker and sicker. =^-^= I started being high raw about the same time you did, though i didn’t juice feast or go 100% raw.. yet. hehe but somehow I think your going to get to goal before I do!!! great job! Your getting amazing results! I’m looking forward to more vids. =^-^=
Good review ;0)
@PeterDouglasRAW Sounds to me like your mom doesn’t need the trip to LA with you around.
Every video you look thinner and healthier. Keep up the good work. It is great that you have all this on video.
Glad you liked the video, thanks! My mother is type 1 diabetic. She doesn’t talk about it much, but she did mention that she’s cut her insulin requirements by 50% since going partly raw. Most mornings she has a green smoothie to start the day.
She’s not really up for any travel these days, though I suspect as her health improves, she may want to travel a bit more. I’ve given her my copy of the video “There Is A Cure For Diabetes” by Dr. Gabriel Cousens, so that’s a good start for her.
Hi Peter,
Good video. Those recipes look good. I have a friend that is no longer diabetic since he changed his diet. Depending on what kind your mom has it is possible for her to reverse it. If she is interested there are some doctors that I know that are planning a 3 day Reversing Diabetes Siminar in February in the LA area.
I enjoyed your video review of Phillip’s book. Thanks for the pictures at the end too. I didn’t know he had a recipe book out.

Yeah, Philip is a great guy. He got me started on raw. I had fun trying out the recipes. Some are more quick to prepare than others, for sure.
In the past, I’ve made some raw recipes that took an hour or even a few hours to prepare. The longest I spent on any recipe in “Raw Food, Fast Food” was 30 minutes, and it will be even fast next time I make it. The quickest recipe took about 5 minutes.
Make the desserts for your family & friends – they’re always a big hit! All the recipes get easier!
Thanks for the review of this ebook. I’ll check it out! You are doing great!
i like the guy who wrote the book in his yt videos. i think the recipes are fussy and as long as i can eat raw fruits and veggies i prob wont bother. my family have had to take up my slack for so many years if they wanna eat cooked meats its ok with me. i may change in a year or so…nothing is set in stone here. i like they guy who wrote the book. so if he sells more books its a good thing. thanks for helping him do that. waves~~
Glad you found the review useful. This would be a great recipe book for you then. There are quite a few recipes that resemble their traditional non-vegan counterparts (like tacos, lasagna, soups, ice cream, etc).
As long as the meat-eaters in your life are a bit open-minded, they’ll probably love the recipes. Like I say in the video, start with the desserts for your carnivorous friends, because everyone loves dessert!
thanks for the review. im new to raw vegan and i like simple simple stuff especially since i still have to cook separately for the meat eaters in the family.
