I actually tried those but I believe I may have seasoned them wayyyyy too much! I will have to try them again soon.
Welcome, and best of luck to you. Ps. People sweat by those seasoned dehydrated kale chips – check them out. People literally fall in love with them.
I just want to thank you for this vid. I am new to the raw food lifestyle and am collecting as much info as possible. Now if I could only find a good “Raw Potato chip” recipe for my chip addiction…hahahah
Glad to find raw youtube! and something good to do with those nutritious, ubiquitous but not too tasty sunflower seeds….
Looks great! Would’ve loved to see you prepare it though.

Ahh my J princess, get your own cooking show already! <3
Thanks Lemon – So listen, here’s my deal. I take basic recipes, like a base right and then I go by my taste buds and eleborate them. I think this is how most raw foodists start. You gotta start somewhere. Here’s an analogy: It’s like flour for bread, the base ingredient, and then you add a crap load of your own goodness!!! I don’t generally write them down and I don’t measure much, I must guess for these videos!
I love the completed creation. So good to look at and I bet it tasted great too. Was this your own original recipe or did you get it from a book? Do you record your recipes?
yippe yay! I love your videos. AND… i am getting super excited about the quinoa vid
thanks luv,
Ash
Mmmm! The end dish looks simply delish and lovely!
I’m definitely going to have to get a food processor and a juicer. I think it will make the transition to a full vegan diet much easier.
Thanks for the recipe, sweetie!
yay!!! mail for me! lol! I bet this salmon spread would be fantastic in nori with sprouted mung beans…. I should try it out tomorrow. I’m eating mung bean sprouts with blueberries, cinnamon and agave right now!! So tasty!!!
I loved salmon when I was a preteen-haven’t eaten it since then when I started giving up meat etc.
Is it possible to substitute anything for the seaweed? I grew up on the beach so the thought of eating seaweed doesn’t apppeal to me. LOL But perhaps that is what gives it the fishy flavor?
Ooooh-I hope you’re posting that raw cheesecake recipe. HINT HINT!
(No pressure tho….)
:-*
*drools* that looks soo good! Can’t wait to try it!
not yet but i plan to! i’ve been so busy and trying to manage time to get to that!!!
shit i hate how yt limits comment space, i was trying to say: I found a little goodie for you today, tiny little thought, can’t wait to mail it out to ya! Ps. This salmon spread would be killer in nori with mung, sushi power!!!
To make flour I never soak them only because it wouldn’t make the flour dry how I need it. See I ground these raw in a coffee grinder today… spur of the moment thing. Lately I just have to go by cravings and I hate waiting because my orthorexia freaks out about oxidation/etc. If I wanted a more wet base then I could of soaked them… got cashews soaking now though for that raw cheesecake I plan to make this weekend!!!
I love your final presentation of this salad! So pretty… mmmm! Do you soak the sunflower seeds to release the enzyme inhibitors, or use them dry?
I am looking for a least expensive dehydrator. NOt least in quality tho. I am on the hunt. Thanks for the info:)
It’s really helping me with cravings too. I can do it raw style instead of big blow out binge and purge style!
No, you didn’t offend me. It just gave me an oppurtunity to eleborate better on why I put a lot of focus in this vid-blog on raw foods and their healing properties!
Btw. you mentioned dried grain — dehydrating (drying) keeps things raw by restoring their life force. Think of it as the most natural way to preserve things. Dehydrators are most raw foodist best friends! I own one but rarely use it. I like to eat things as freshly made as possible.
You explained it well. Thank you. Wasnt sure if “raw” meant only sprouted, because of the life force in it, but I get it.
